Just wanted to share with everyone Amber's big day. Yup, that's right she's officially 1 :) Here's a picture of her with her birthday cake. Our very good friend made this little cake for her. We are having a real bday party for her this coming Sunday so I will post more about her birthday after that.

Jacob's Big Milestone

Well, thought I'd share with everyone our big milestone today. Jacob asked me after dinner to take his training wheels off his bike. I personally thought he was crazy cause I remember the headaches last time we tried. I did it though and sure enough he got up and rode off. Here are a few pictures from our milestone. I also added one of Shane riding his scooter for fairness sake :)

MY FIRST BLOG POST
Hello Everyone! Well, I've decided to make an attempt (although I will admit I'm not the most creative person in the world) to start a blog. Why? Well, because so many of my friends and even some family have one of these things, so I figured why not try it out myself. I will do my best to keep everyone up to date with blogs telling how things are going and keep posting as many pictures as I can. Please, add comments and give suggestions as I will probably need a lot of help.
Well, where to begin....its a beautiful Wednesday evening here in Las Vegas @ Nellis AFB, so what better time to start this new ambitious project than while its calm in my house while Jason is at bowling, the boys are playing video games and enjoying their spring break, and Amber is sleeping. Wish I could say the same about Zoey (our beautiful siberian husky) but she's in trouble and in the kennel and not happy about it at all.
We are of course enjoying our life here in Las Vegas. Jason keeps busy with work, but what else can you expect from the military. Jacob is doing well in the 2nd grade, and Shane is doing well in Pre-K although he's still having quite a time with his alphabet but we are working on it. They are both in the youth bowling league on base as well, and enjoying every minute of it. Jacob is a bantam and Shane is a peewee (meaning he still bowls with bumpers). Jacob will also be participating in the youth state bowling tournament at Santa Fe Station Casino in a couple weeks. He's very excited about it. We just have to keep reminding him it doesn't matter if you win or lose it just matters that you have fun. Amber is a typical toddler crawling around, pulling up on everything in site, and investigating everything she shouldn't get into. Wow! I can't believe she'll be 1 tomorrow. As for me, well I am doing the typical stay at home mom thing. I have starting the process to become a substitute teacher and also am hoping to go back to school this summer and work on my second bachelors degree. I've completely decided accounting is not for me (I have a hard enough time remembering to balance my own checkbook) and chosen to go back to school to get my elementary teaching certificate.
Well that is my first extremely feeble attempt at blogging. Hope everyone is well. I have added our most recent family photo as my first photo. Its back from December but its the best family picture I have. Yes, Santa is Jason.
Love to all, and hope to hear from everyone soon!
